Tender Description
The Melton City Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified Respondents for design works to extend the Caroline Springs Stadium and a new outdoor Tennis Facility.
Works that involve the design are as follows:
CAROLINE SPRINGS STADIUM
* three (3) indoor basketball courts to the relevant peak sporting body requirements (Basketball Victoria).
* change rooms facilities to support the use of the indoor basketball courts.
* change rooms facilities to support the use of the adjoining grass oval, in accordance with the relevant peak sporting body requirements (Australian Football League).
* change rooms facilities to support use of the adjoining tennis courts.
* community meeting rooms, office and administration space
TENNIS FACILITY
* twelve (12) full size tennis courts measuring 36.6m x 18.3m and designed in blocks of two (2) and configured in two (2) rows of six (6) courts.
* the court surface is to be either "Plexi-pave" or "Plexi-paved cushion".
* the lights are to be designed to "Club competition" level of 350 lux to the principal playing area (PPA) with the capacity to upgrade to 500 lux leve.
* fencing is to be full height around the perimeters of the twelve courts with low fencing between the blocks of two courts. Seating, rubbish bins and pathways around the tennis courts allowing for maintenance vehicles access.
* All designed to standards specified in the "tennis Facility Planning Guide" set out by Tennis Australia.
* two (2) external basketball courts to the relevant peak sporting body requirements.
