The Metropolitan Waste and Resource Recovery Group (MWRRG) is currently developing the Metropolitan Waste and Resource Recovery Implementation Plan. This includes a schedule of existing and new waste and resource recovery Infrastructure.
MWRRG is conducting a market assessment to gather proposals from Industry for managing Melbourne's growing waste management needs over the next 10 years and to inform development of the Schedule.
Resource recovery and landfill operators with a current or future interest in the management of Melbourne’s waste are invited to visit the website to understand more about the process and how to make a submission.
Potential landfill operators should be aware that under current legislation, any proposals for new landfills must be submitted and assessed as part of this market assessment process.
