Centroc seeks to identify a suitable provider to implement a Unified Communications solution for the following six Councils: Blayney, Cowra, Forbes, Lithgow, Oberon and Upper Lachlan.
The six Councils are currently operating a number of aging phone systems that are now deemed 'end of life' and are to be replaced with a new Unified Communications (UC) solution.
This Request for Quotation/Tender (RFx) covers the procurement of the UC solution for all six Councils. Following evaluation of proposals and selection of the final choice of vendor, each Council will gain final approval to proceed and then enter into an individual contract with the vendor in accordance with their particular service requirements.
The new UC solution is expected to include the control system, voice gateways / switches, handsets, management systems, associated software and ongoing maintenance / support.
Some Councils prefer to procure technology solutions with Opex funds rather than incurring large fixed capital costs. However the Councils will consider Capex models for services or even capitalisation of future Opex costs if the financial benefits are compelling. Some Councils would like the option to capitalise the initial projects costs e.g. implementation, project management, training, etc.
