The NSW Telco Authority is responsible for the overall coordination of operational and radio telecommunication services for the NSW Government. The NSW Telco Authority is working to improve the quality and efficiency of communication services for NSW Government agencies, to effectively manage the Government’s spectrum holdings, and to consolidate government owned infrastructure, assets and resources to remove unnecessary costs and duplication.
The NSW Telco Authority works with NSW Government agencies that use operational and radio communication as a critical operational requirement. These include public safety and essential service agencies, as well as a range of other bodies which use two-way operational radio to carry out their function.
An Infrastructure Rationalisation Program (IRP or Program) has been initiated by the NSW Telco Authority to improve the quality and cost effectiveness of NSW Government operational communications radio services through rationalisation of investment in network assets.
To deliver the IRP, the NSW Telco Authority will establish an integrated Program Management Office (iPMO) function that takes on the day-to-day responsibility for delivery of the Program.
