Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The after-hours crisis telephone counselling line, Veterans Line, is part of the national, integrated, 24 hour, Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service (VVCS) service delivery system that also includes: individual, couple and family counselling and support for those with more complex needs; group programs to develop skills and enhance support; information, education and self-help resources, including a Facebook page and website (www.vvcs.gov.au); and referrals to other services or specialist treatment programs.

Staffed by qualified telephone counsellors who have undertaken veteran and military awareness training, the service is designed to assist VVCS clients in coping with crisis situations outside of VVCS core office hours. The Veterans Line provider also monitors and moderates the VVCS Facebook page outside of business hours to ensure the safety of the VVCS Facebook community.

The Tender seeks a sole national provider able to deliver the after-hours services of the VVCS for a three year period from 1 October 2015.
