Tender Description
Ergon Energy requires a prepayment metering system solution for remote and isolated off-grid communities in Queensland to replace the current card operated meters (COM). Ergon Energy has assessed a prepayment meter solution based on RFID/Smart Card technology with two way data transfer capability as a suitable replacement option for these communities.
The Specification provides the functional requirements for the trial of a suitable prepayment meter system which if successful and meets the principals requirements may be rolled out to the existing 32 remote communities using prepayment meters replacing an estimated 5000 meters.
The system quantities for the trials and full roll out are detailed in the Tender Pack and cover the types of meters and system equipment including Point of Sale terminals, RFID/Smart Cards, configuration management tools and software and metering, credit, financial management and reporting software. Tenderers shall outline all costs and exclusions for the trials and full rollout option.
Respondents shall recommend a suitable prepayment model based on the requirements in the Specification and provide a detailed clause by clause response detailing level of compliance/variance and description of functionality and alternatives.
