Brookfield Johnson Controls, Project Manager to the NSW Police Force, is inviting suitably qualified Head Contractors to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for participation in the tender for the construction of a new Local Area Command (LAC) Police Station in Tweed Heads.

The project involves:

* Construction and fitout of new LAC Police Station.
* Anticipated commencement August 2015, with 13 month construction period.
* Demolition of existing retail building and associated infrastructure to accommodate new works.
* Gross floor area of 3,109m2 over 1st and 2nd floor levels.
* 1,550m2 of secure vehicle parking on ground level and external parking for 21 vehicles.
* External works, utilities connections (including new substation), accesses, local roadway alterations, related upgrades and landscape works.
* Relocation of current operations from nearby existing facility to completed building.
* Liaison and coordination with the NSW Police Force and Brookfield Johnson Controls in the delivery of the works, relocation and handover phases.

The NSW Government’s Code of Practice for the Building and Construction Industry (NSW Code) and the NSW Government’s Implementation Guidelines to the NSW Code of Practice for the Building and Construction Industry (NSW Guidelines) apply to this project. Compliance with the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines is a pre-requisite to submitting any response to a procurement process (EOI or tender response) and to any successful applications being awarded.
