Tender Description
Council has electrical services to maintain in approximately 150 buildings within the Melton municipality, which currently extends over 530 square kilometres.
Our facilities are predominantly located in Melton and Caroline Springs areas; however facilities also extend to Eynesbury, Diggers Rest, Toolern Vale, Rockbank, Hillside, Taylors Hill and Burnside.
Equipment exists within our civic & community buildings, industrial buildings, community housing, preschools & maternal child health centres, libraries and some leisure & sports facilities. We require a qualified contractor(s) to:
* Undertake scheduled servicing
* Undertake scheduled defect repairs
* Undertake non scheduled defect repairs
* Undertake new installations
* Other non- scheduled works as required
The works to be performed under this contract may include but are not limited to the following:
* Repairs and installation of lighting assets within the municipality
* Scheduled essential services inspections and maintenance
* Installation of Electrical appliances
* Testing and tagging of electrical appliances/equipment
* Installation of data cabling when required
* Installation of telecommunications cabling when required
* Breakdown repairs
* Vandalism repair works
* Emergency call out work (after hours)
* Installation of electrical mains including main switchboards On all electrical works a certificate of Electrical safety is required
The contractor is to supply all materials, plant and equipment required to complete any of the above allocated works.
The current contract expires on 30th June 2015 and the shortlisted parties will be invited to tender on completion of the revised specifications.
