Council's Sustainability Action Plan (SAP) Think Global, Act Local was introduced in 2005 and expired in December 2014. The plan was developed over 16 months with considerable community consultation guiding the development of the plan. The plan outlines approx 110 actions, 14 goals under the three themes of Planet, People and Progress and seeks to guide Council toward a more sustainable future.
Council is now seeking quotations from suitably qualified consultants to review and update Council's Sustainability Action Plan Think Global, Act Local. The Consultant will facilitate workshops with selected community members and staff to redevelop sustainability goals, define actions and assist with the development of KPIs.
