Tender Description

The Tasmanian Government (Government), represented by TMD, seeks to establish a Standing Offer arrangement for the supply of Networking Tasmania (NT) III Connection services, for the exclusive use of all Tasmanian Government Agencies and other customers as deemed eligible by Government.

The Government aims are to replace its expiring arrangements for the provision of Connection services and to obtain value for money in a competitive environment. This is the second in a series of procurements under the Tasmanian Cloud - NT III initiative.

The type of Connection services required by Government fits into the following broad categories:

* Site to Network Core Connection services
* Site to Site Connection services, including Data Centre interconnection services

It is the Government’s intention to appoint a panel arrangement for Connection services; however no assurances are given that any successful Tenderer will have an exclusive right to provide such services to the Government.

The Government expects that collectively, the panel of successful Tenderers will be able to offer Connection services which utilise a range of underlying technologies, service levels, customer-select options, security levels and are fully-managed, or unmanaged where required by the customer.

The Government is seeking tenders from interested parties in relation to the above Connection service requirements, and encourages prospective Tenderers to submit a response, even if they can only provide one service offering at this time.

Prospective Tenderers should note that the Connection services procured through this Request for Tender (RFT) will be incorporated into, and branded under the NT III Framework.
