Tender Description
The City of Greater Geelong invites tenders closing at 2.00pm on Wednesday 1st April 2015 for the supply and installation of audio-visual hardware and systems in the Geelong Library and Heritage Centre (currently under construction). The new Geelong Library and Heritage Centre is located at 49 Little Malop Street, Geelong, and extends into Johnstone Park.
Mandatory Site Inspection:
Please be advised that Geelong Regional Library Corporation and Council staff will conduct a mandatory site inspection at 10.00am, Monday 23 March June 2014. Prospective tenderers must attend this site inspection. Failure of a tenderer to attend will result in their tender being excluded as a non-conforming tender (refer Tender Condition 3.4).
Geelong Regional Library Corporation and Council representatives will be present to discuss details regarding the project and the tender process. Refer to the Tender documents for site location details.
Tenderers are required to notify Council of their attendance by phoning Adrian Rainbow on (03) 5272 4636 beforehand.
Information for the Mandatory Site inspection / tour:
* Access via Johnstone Park
* Personal Protective Equipment (PPE required) steel capped boots, his visibility vest and hard hat required (these will not be provided by GRLC / Council , attendees must provide their own)
* Tour to take approximately one hour
* It will be an active construction site
* Tour will be subject to all Kane Constructions OH&S requirements
The contractor is required to:
* Provide a comprehensive quotation according to specifications with optional items
* Quotes must provide for all components for an operational system.
* Supply and install the audiovisual equipment requirement of the client - Geelong Library and Heritage Centre (GLHC).
* Provide training for all audiovisual technologies supplied to the Geelong Regional Library Corporation (GRLC) for technical and non-technical staff, e.g. videoconferencing, for technical and non-technical staff on initial handover and at a suitable time for GRLC after building occupation.
* Provide documentation in the form of support manuals and trouble-shooting guides for all installed audio-visual systems.
* Coordinate works with the GRLC Project Superintendent and Builder.
* Work collaboratively with the GRLC Technologies Access staff to ensure efficient delivery of audio-visual systems to GLHC customers and staff.
* Work collaboratively with other project contractors on the building site.
* Provide copies of safety documentation relevant to working on a commercial construction site to the satisfaction of Kane Constructions, GRLC and City of Greater Geelong.
* Remove all packaging and waste from site (must provide own on-site waste bins).
* Any damage must be repaired to the satisfaction of the GRLC Project Superintendent.
In seeking these responses GRLC has a preference for a supplier who can deliver a whole of specifications outcome and associated consolidation savings, however GRLC reserves the right to select multiple suppliers for any part thereof. All nominated items are mandatory unless otherwise specified. Exceptions and reasons should be listed where solutions are not compliant. Each deliverable must be supplied in full. Any additional components required to deliver a working solution should be listed and included. GRLC will seek clarification on all items if required. Should the contractor wish to offer a specification that exceeds the mandatory minimum requirements then it should be included as an additional option (B, C etc.) with the additional cost itemised separately for GRLCs discretion. These items will be included at GRLCs discretion.
