Tender Description
The Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (DEDJTR or the Department) is seeking responses to this Request for Tender for an individual or organisation to undertake tests to establish the comparative effectiveness of various Rapid Earth Fault Current Limiter (REFCL) technologies at reducing the risk of fire ignition from phase to earth and phase to vegetation faults on overhead electricity distribution networks. The vegetation fault tranche will test species of greatest bushfire risk concern identified by the 2015 PBSP vegetation research.
This phase of the DEDJTR trials will establish full network optimisation of REFCL technology for the purposes of mitigating bushfire risk on the Victorian rural network.
The specific requirements in relation to the Goods and/or Services are set out in Part B of this RFT (Specification).
