Guard Fence Installation Sandy Creek Road, Anakie

⁠⁠⁠The City of Greater Geelong invites tenders closing at 2.00pm on Wednesday 25 February 2015 for the installation of Guard Fence on Sandy Creek Road, Anakie.

Works include supply and installation of 1.9kms of Guard Rail Fence to protect motorists from the heavily treed roadside along the subject length of Sandy Creek Road, South of Granite Road.

Prospective tenderers should visit the location of works and site to familiarize themselves with onsite conditions and ensure drawings provided match onsite markings. Please note, to assis tenderers in their bids, there are start and end terminal colour painted markings on site (both on the road seal surface and fence posts) which designate where the guard rail is to be placed.

Tenderers are also expected to undertake due diligence assessment of potential services within the work zone via 'dial before you dig' advice.
A previous road safety audit (RSA) had identified a significant number of hazardous trees on the road side within the clear zone along the subject length of road. The remnant vegetation along the road side of Sandy Creek Road is a significant biodiversity area and shall be preserved in accordance with Council policy. An approved environmental management plan and an approved traffic management plan shall be required before work commences.

The works to be carried out as part of the project include, but are not limited to, the plans and specifications as per the tender documents loaded in Tenderlink

The tender evaluation panel will consider the details of the tenderer's OH&S system provided in or in response to Schedule 7 of the documents attached.

Tenders which do not contain details of OH&S systems which meet the minimum required standards will not be considered for the contract.
