Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The City of Greater Geelong invites tenders closing at 2.00pm on 25 February 2015 for the supply and installation of Solar PV Services. The Contract is for the supply of all materials, equipment, supervision, labour, safety equipment, installation, commissioning, testing, and documentation to complete the Electrical and associated Solar PV Services for Ocean Grove Integrated Children's Centre, Shell Road Reserve, Ocean Grove, Victoria.

As part of Councils commitment to providing sustainable buildings, Council is seeking interested Solar Power companies to submit tenders for the supply and installation of a suitable system. Please find included in the tender documents a performance specification that as a minimum, all prospective tenderers are to meet.

Please note there are mandatory requirements that the successful contractor will be required to meet as outlined below. Tenderers who do not meet the mandatory criteria will not be considered further for this project.

Mandatory Requirements:
1) The tenderer must have significant previous experience in the last three (3) years with supply and installation of similar capacity Solar PV Services as specified in the attached Performance Specification document.

Mandatory Site Inspection:

Please be advised that Council will conduct individual mandatory site inspections (due to operational reasons) for tenderers to view existing conditions and equipment. It is the tenderers responsibility to contact Councils representative in order to visit the site to assess the nature and extent of the work required. Failure of a tenderer to attend a mandatory site inspection with Councils nominated representative will result in their tender being excluded as a non-conforming tender (refer Tender Condition 3.4). Refer to the Tender documents for site location details.

Councils representative is Mr David Ash. Tenderers are required to contact David Ash directly to organise a date and time to visit the site. David Ash will meet with individual tenderers on site to discuss details regarding the project and the tender process. Site Visits are to be held prior to Wednesday 11 February, 2015. The project has a budget in the range of $90,000-$110,000 (excl. GST)

The works to be carried out as part of the project include, but are not limited to, the plans and specifications as per the tender documents loaded in Tenderlink.

Note: The Performance Specification is based on a 57kw system being installed. The size of the system is indicative only, the contractor is to supply the best available system for the nominated budget.

The tender evaluation panel will consider the details of the tenderer's OH&S system provided in or in response to Schedule 7 of the documents attached.

Tenders which do not contain details of OH&S systems which meet the minimum required standards will not be considered for the contract.
