Tender Description
Geraldton Senior College (GSC) as part of the National Secondary Schools Computer Fund (NSSCF) moved to a Standard Operating Environment (SOEv4) in 2011 and is now currently running SOEv4.2.
The site is spread over approximately 6 hectares, and has approximately 2000 data points spread evenly throughout the offices, classrooms and computer labs.The site currently has a DET supplied and administered RODC & Terminal Server, with a locally administered Tier 3 server. The network currently supports approximately 1300 computing devices (mixture of Desktop PC's, Notebooks, Apple iMac's, Macbook's & iPad's); and approximately 60 networked printers / MFD's.
The school has wireless coverage provided by 16 Cisco WAPs. All of the schools Notebooks, MacBook's & iPad's are used wirelessly.
Each staff member and student has individual logon accounts and web based email accounts with enforced security policies that must be supported and managed.
The SOE LAN runs a Windows Server 2008 RODC, a Windows 2003 Terminal Server, Windows 2008 Tier 3 Server and a Unix based Proxy Server.
