The Department is issuing this Industry Briefing to invite comments.
It is anticipated that the Australian Department of Social Services will be inviting suitably qualified organisations to tender for the provision of Disability Employment Services – Disability Management ServiceDES-DMS) in July 2014.
DES delivers employment assistance for job seekers with disability, injury or health condition who need assistance to find and retain open employment. DES offers two uncapped demand-driven programmes:
* DES-DMS - provides services to eligible job seekers with temporary or permanent disability, injury or health condition who require the assistance of a disability employment service but who are not expected to need regular, long-term support in the workplace.
* DES-ESS - is available to eligible job seekers with permanent disability who are assessed as needing regular long-term ongoing support in the workplace.
Only DES-DMS business will be available through the final tender process.
