Richmond Refuse Tip

⁠⁠⁠Overview

Richmond Shire Council invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the management and operation of the Council's Refuse Tip facility.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Opening and closing the facility during designated operating hours
• Providing onsite supervision during all opening hours
• Managing waste disposal activities in accordance with Council requirements
• Maintaining a safe and compliant workplace
• Reporting incidents and hazards in accordance with Council procedures
• Arranging approved relief operators during periods of leave
• Recovering and managing approved recyclable materials in accordance with the contract conditions

Contractor Requirements

• Operate as an independent contractor and supply own insurances, equipment, and SWMS personnel necessary to fulfil the contract
• Ensure all required insurances, registrations, and statutory obligations are maintained
• Relevant experience in waste facility operations, resource recovery, workplace health and safety, and customer service is encouraged, particularly from local contractors and businesses
