ALAC - Treatment of Existing Pool Deck Floor Tiles

⁠⁠⁠Overview

The City of Albany is seeking a suitably experienced contractor to provide a treatment or coating solution for the existing pool deck floor tiles at ALAC.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of a treatment or coating solution for the existing pool deck floor tiles that achieves and maintains a minimum P5 slip resistance rating
• Delivery of a solution suitable for wet areas and continuous operation in a chlorinated aquatic environment
• Provision of a durable, long term solution providing consistent slip resistance for a minimum period of ten (10) years, without compromising the cleanability, appearance, or longevity of the existing tiled surface
• Delivery of a solution that minimises future maintenance requirements and operational disruption to the facility

Contractor Requirements

• Demonstrated proven effectiveness of the recommended treatment or coating in similar leisure or aquatic centre settings
• Relevant experience in delivering comparable treatments in wet, high pedestrian traffic aquatic environments
• Ability to provide evidence supporting the achievement and maintenance of the required P5 slip rating

• Warranty information
