Overview
The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) is seeking two experienced Application Architects to support the design, delivery and evolution of enterprise application solutions across a complex digital and technology landscape.

The Role
Application Architects are responsible for developing and governing application architectures that align with business objectives, enterprise architecture standards and Whole-of-Government digital strategies. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, technical specialists and enterprise architects, providing architectural leadership throughout the solution lifecycle to ensure applications are secure, scalable, maintainable and fit for purpose.
The successful candidates will:
- Provide architectural guidance for new and existing applications
- Support modernisation initiatives
- Contribute to technology roadmaps
- Ensure solution designs comply with departmental standards, security requirements and best practices
- Work embedded within agile delivery teams while maintaining alignment with enterprise architecture principles and governance frameworks

- High-level and detailed solution designs
- Application roadmaps
- Technology standards
- Integration patterns
- Architecture assessments
- Advice to support strategic technology decisions
