Overview
Services Australia is seeking to engage a senior contract negotiator to provide expert advice on commercial and negotiation strategy, in the context of Commonwealth and agency procurement policies, processes and requirements. This engagement is required to support the delivery of effective supplier negotiations and drive value for money outcomes for the agency.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Providing expert advice on commercial and negotiation strategy in the context of Commonwealth and agency procurement policies, processes and requirements
- Supporting the delivery of effective supplier negotiations to drive value for money outcomes for the agency
- Working closely with agency staff, including a Senior Executive officer lead, APS technical, delivery, commercial and contracting staff, as well as external legal advisors and other external advisers, including pricing support
Contractor Requirements
- Extensive experience negotiating major ICT contracts, preferably for the Commonwealth
- Strong commercial background
- Desirable: ability to access additional advice, support and/or capacity from their employing firm, if required
