Overview
Frankston City Council is inviting suitably qualified contractors to submit proposals for the installation of new subsurface drainage infrastructure, associated improvements to the existing irrigation system, and the re-establishment of the playing surface at Oval 3, Lloyd Park.
Objectives
- Enhance the oval's subsurface drainage performance
- Improve the reliability and usability of the playing surface
- Reduce overland flow during heavy rain events, given a known habitat of the Southern Toadlet adjacent to the oval
- Provide an extended establishment and grow-in period to ensure the field is handed back to Council in the best possible condition
Scope
The scope includes:
- Installation of new subsurface drainage infrastructure at Oval 3, Lloyd Park
- Associated improvements to the existing irrigation system
- Re-establishment of the playing surface
- An extended establishment and grow-in period for the field prior to handover to Council
Contractor Requirements
- Demonstrated proven track record in the delivery of high-quality sports field construction and renovation projects for local government
- Capability to achieve timely project delivery, strong quality outcomes, and cost-effective project management
