FOGO Compost Soil Conditioner Distribution Trial

⁠⁠⁠Overview

The Rural City of Wangaratta invites interested businesses to register interest for the purchase of Council FOGO compost at $33 (ex GST) per tonne, produced for the purpose of soil conditioning and blending.

About

The compost has a bulk density of approximately 600 kg/m³, resulting in an indicative cost of around $19.80 per cubic metre excluding delivery. The product is produced at the Wangaratta Organics Processing Facility and is generally applied at a low rate.

Purpose

The Expression of Interest seeks to establish a trial distributorship for the purpose of urban domestic application (nursery) and also a field trial involving an agricultural application.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Purchase and distribution of Council FOGO compost for urban domestic (nursery) application as part of the trial
• Purchase and application of Council FOGO compost for a field trial involving agricultural application

Contract Terms and Conditions

• Trial period: 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027
• Price: $33 (ex GST) per tonne
• Bulk density: approximately 600 kg/m³, resulting in an indicative cost of around $19.80 per cubic metre, excluding delivery
