Overview
Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora) invites suitably qualified and experienced contractors to submit a tender for the Rotorua Hospital Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) Facility Upgrade. This opportunity was previously signalled through a Future Procurement Opportunity notice and now progresses to the formal Request for Tender stage.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Building, refurbishment, and associated services works to improve and enhance the existing SCBU facilities at Rotorua Hospital
- Provision of a complete turnkey delivery solution
- Coordination and management of all required construction activities and specialist services
- Delivery of the works within an operational healthcare environment
Contractor Requirements
- Demonstrated experience undertaking construction projects in live clinical or hospital settings
- Capability, resources, and a proven track record to safely deliver the works while minimising disruption to hospital operations
- Ability to maintain appropriate health, safety, and infection prevention and control standards
Tender Briefing
Site visits will not be available during the tender period due to the operational nature of the SCBU and the presence of patients within the facility. Respondents are encouraged to attend the online briefing session, which will provide an opportunity to discuss the project scope, constraints, and tender requirements.
