Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Overview

The Ministry of Education (NZ) is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to complete a re-roof project on Blocks E and I at Taupo-nui-a Tia College.

Scope

The scope includes:

  • Removal of the existing low-pitch membrane roofing on Block E
  • Alteration of high-level louvres over the E1-E4 classrooms, Awhina room and staff resource area
  • Installation of new Viking Enviroclad TPO membrane roofing on new plywood substrate and packer purlins on Block E
  • Ceiling patch and repair works on Block E
  • Repainting on Block E
  • Demolition of the existing metal and membrane roofing and skylights on Block I (canteen)
  • Construction of new trusses at a revised pitch on Block I
  • Installation of new Dimond Styleline Colorsteel Maxam roofing and TPO membrane roofing on Block I
  • Construction of a new two-way 60-minute fire-rated wall on Block I
  • Relocation of the HVAC unit on Block I
  • Reinstatement of HardieGlaze ceiling linings on Block I

Contractor Requirements

  • Suitably qualified in timber and roofing trades, supported by minor mechanical, fire, and ceiling-lining work
