Clarence City Council invites quotations from suitably qualified respondents to undertake a design consultancy for the upgrade of Natone Street, Lindisfarne, Tasmania, 7015, from Lincoln Street up to and including the cul-de-sac adjacent to the River Derwent.

About

There is a proposal to install a public passenger ferry terminal at the southern end of Natone Street as part of the River Derwent Ferry Expansion Project. The proposed development will establish a new ferry terminal and associated facilities to enhance river-based public transport connections within the Greater Hobart area.

This project is intended to support the proposed ferry terminal operations through the upgrade of Natone Street, improving the general functionality and amenity of the area. A concept design has been completed for the works, which include improvements to circulation spaces, upgrades to the end of Natone Street, landscaping, new and upgraded pathways, vehicle turning areas, two DDA-compliant parking spaces and five standard parking spaces near the terminal entrance, approximately 12 parallel car parking spaces, pedestrian crossovers, stormwater upgrades, and underground service connections to the proposed ferry terminal.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Engineering survey of the Natone Street upgrade area
• Detailed design, including civil infrastructure and landscape design
• Preparation of drawings
• Preparation of a schedule of quantities
• Preparation of a construction cost estimate
• Preparation of a Safety in Design report
• Provision of associated information required for the upgrade of Natone Street, Lindisfarne, Tasmania, 7015, from Lincoln Street up to and including the cul-de-sac adjacent to the River Derwent
