Overview
South Gippsland Shire Council is offering funding through its Community Grants Program to support community initiatives that enhance the quality of life, heritage, recreation and cultural opportunities for South Gippsland residents.
Purpose
The program aims to support community initiatives that enhance the quality of life, heritage, recreation and cultural opportunities for South Gippsland residents.
Funding
Funding of up to $10,000 is available under the following categories:
- Minor Projects & Equipment: $1,000 to $5,000 (up to 50% of the total project cost)
- Major Projects & Equipment: $5,000 to $10,000 (up to 50% of the total project cost)
- Planning & Development Reports: $5,000 to $10,000 (up to 75% of the total project cost)
- Festivals & Events: $1,000 to $10,000 (up to 50% of the total project cost)
Eligibility
Applicants should read the Community Grant Guidelines before applying to check if their project is eligible.
How to Apply
Round 1: July to August
- Applications Open: 1 July
- Applications Close: 31 August
- Advice Given: December
- Project start date must be after 1 January 2027
Round 2: January to March
- Applications Open: 1 January
- Applications Close: 31 March
- Advice Given: End of June
- Project start date must be after 1 July 2027
