South Gippsland Shire Council is inviting offers for the purchase and removal of an impounded vehicle, a Toyota Echo Hatchback, that has not been collected within the required timeframe.

About

Council impounded the vehicle on 5 June 2026 in accordance with Schedule 11 of the Local Government Act 1989 from Loch-Wonthaggi Road, Loch. As the vehicle has not been collected and relevant fees paid within 14 days of impoundment, it is now being offered for sale to the public.

Instructions to Tenderers

Offers marked 'Abandoned Vehicle' and addressed to the Coordinator Community Safety are invited for the purchase and removal from Council of the aforementioned abandoned vehicle. Offers close at 2.00pm on Friday 24 July 2026 and are to be either posted to South Gippsland Shire Council, Private Bag 4, Leongatha VIC 3953, or emailed to council@southgippsland.vic.gov.au on or before the said time and date.

The vehicle can be viewed by appointment with the Community Safety team on 5662 9200.

The highest or any offer will not necessarily be accepted.
