Traffic Management Services

⁠⁠⁠Overview

Ports Victoria will be seeking to engage a suitably qualified contractor who specialises in Traffic Management Services (TMS) for Station Pier operations, with relevant maritime experience.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Traffic management services for normal Station Pier operations
• Traffic management services for cruise season operations
• Traffic management services for surge and other operations at Station Pier where required

Contractor Requirements

Only tenderers with the following accreditations and qualifications will be considered:

• Able to demonstrate relevant experience in the implementation and supervision of traffic management arrangements within complex operational environments involving interactions between heavy vehicles, light vehicles, pedestrians and active site operations
• Current Department of Transport and Planning accreditation for Traffic Management Implementation, Road Category 2 or higher
• Personnel with current Victorian traffic management qualifications and authorisations appropriate to their respective roles
• Personnel with a current Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC), or who satisfy the relevant escorted access requirements
• Able to demonstrate compliance and experience with the DTP Temporary Traffic Management Accreditation Program, which specifically covers the design and implementation of temporary traffic management
• Able to demonstrate compliance and experience with the Victorian Code of Practice for Worksite Safety, Traffic Management

• A formal Request for Tender is anticipated to be issued in late July 2026, with a proposed contract start date in late September 2026
