Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Council (the Principal) is seeking Quotations from appropriately qualified and experienced Contractors to install valves at the Robertson Re-use Dam in Glenquarry, NSW.

Project goals

Council (the Principal) is seeking Quotations from appropriately qualified and experienced Contractors to install valves at the Robertson Re-use Dam in Glenquarry, NSW as per the provided design and specifications.

A more detailed brief of the extent of services required by Council is set out in Volume 1 - Specification which is included as part of the Request for Quotation documentation.

In accordance with Council Policy and Guidelines, Council invites quotations in accordance with this Invitation and the following accompanying documents:

1. Volume 1 – Specification

  •  Volume 1a – Appendices A - B

2.  Volume 2 - Response Schedules

3. Volume 3 - Conditions of Contract, and

4.Any published Addenda

Scope of Works

The Contractor is required to procure and install the valving works, as per the drawings provided in Appendix A and Appendix B. In conducting the installation works, the Contractor is required to do the following: 

4.1 WHS 

The Contractor is required to provide a Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) detailing all works to be undertaken, including the associated hazards and risks, proposed control measures and mitigation actions, and a risk matrix for the identified risks.

4.2 Materials and Services 

The Contractor is to procure and supply the materials as illustrated in the design drawings. Upon receiving the materials, the Contractor is to install these materials as per the drawings and relevant construction and plumbing standards.

4.3 Program of Works 

The Contractor is required to provide a detailed Program of Works outlining all activities required to complete the project, including the overall project duration, the activities to be undertaken and their respective timeframes, such as excavation, welding, installation, and hydrostatic testing, as well as any documentation, approvals and permits required to undertake the works.

4.4 Commissioning 

Upon installation of the plumbing and valving works, the Contractor is required to conduct and provide a commissioning report, detailing the hydrostatic testing results, design and modifications to the drawings. 

5 Detailed Specification and Requirements of the Contract

The Contractor is to undertake the works as detailed in Appendix A and Appendix B. 

5.1 Meetings and Workshops 

The Contractor is to allow for and participate in the following meetings: 

  •  Kick-off meeting, in person or on site (Robertson STP or Council Depot Location – Water Services Depot on Cavendish Street, Mittagong)
  •  Weekly to fortnightly (depending on the progress) Contract Meeting, at an agreed time and location. 
  •  Meetings to coordinate shutdowns or isolations of normal STP operations
