Tender Description

Overview

The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing is seeking a network of providers to deliver the Integrated Carer Support Service (Carer Gateway) across 19 Carer Gateway service areas, providing support to unpaid carers nationally. Only one provider will be selected per service area, however a provider may apply for, and be selected for, multiple service areas.

Scope

The scope includes:

  • Delivery of all listed service types within the selected service area(s), including support planning, counselling, coaching, training, peer support, tailored support packages, referrals to planned and emergency respite, navigation assistance with mainstream services, and information and advice
  • Prioritisation and delivery of services based on the needs of carers, with flexibility in delivery models and in how funding is allocated across service types
  • Monitoring demand within the service area and configuring services and resource allocation to maximise outcomes for carers
  • Adapting service delivery over time in response to changes in demand and as new support options and approaches emerge
  • Establishing and maintaining outreach activities and links to social, health, education, community and cultural groups to better understand carer cohorts in the service area, including those in regional, rural and remote locations and the specific carer cohorts identified in the National Carer Strategy 2024-2034 and National Carer Strategy Action Plan 2024-2027
