Ports North (PN) is inviting tenders from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to undertake marine pilot transfer services for the ports of Cairns and Mourilyan, commencing 18 February 2027.

About

Far North Queensland Ports Corporation Limited, trading as Ports North, is a government-owned corporation established under the Government Owned Corporations Act 1993 (Qld) that develops and manages port facilities. Ports North operates the Ports of Cairns, Cape Flattery, Karumba, Mourilyan, Skardon River, Quintell Beach, Thursday Island, Burketown and Cooktown.

Ports North is the Responsible Pilotage Entity for the Compulsory Pilotage Area(s) of Cairns and Mourilyan under section 160(2) and Schedule 3 of the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Act 1994.

Scope

• Provision of pilot transfer services for the Port of Cairns
• Provision of pilot transfer services for the Port of Mourilyan

Contractor Requirements

• Suitably qualified and experienced in undertaking marine pilot transfer services
