Overview
Rockhampton Regional Council invites suitably qualified and experienced contractors to submit a tender for the delivery of Stage 1 of the Rockhampton Sports Precinct, a landmark multi staged recreation and sporting development intended to serve the region's growing sporting community and strengthen its capacity to host training, competition, and sporting events.
Purpose
As the first phase of a larger multi stage program, this package sets the foundation for future development, establishing key infrastructure that will unlock subsequent stages and contribute to a cohesive, high quality sporting precinct for the Rockhampton community.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Establishment of the new Home of Netball, including construction of 16 asphalt acrylic surface netball courts, each designed and lit to competition standards to support training, community sport, and high level competitive fixtures
- Construction of a modern clubhouse
- Construction of public amenities
- Construction of a master planned playground
- Development of new carparks
- Development of a new entry road
- Installation of all associated site services required for ongoing operational reliability
- Comprehensive landscaping to create an accessible and attractive environment aligned with the broader vision for the Rockhampton Sports Precinct
Contractor Requirements
- Suitably qualified and experienced in delivering sporting and recreation infrastructure
