The Municipal Council of Roxby Downs invites suitably qualified and experienced providers to submit a tender for the provision of Internal Audit Services.

Purpose

Council is seeking an independent and objective internal audit provider to support its governance, risk management and internal control framework. Council is committed to maintaining strong governance practices and seeks a provider capable of delivering services in accordance with relevant professional standards and legislative requirements.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Delivering a risk-based internal audit program
• Providing assurance and recommendations to Council, the Chief Executive Officer and the Audit and Risk Committee on the effectiveness of Council's governance, financial management, compliance and operational processes
• Development and delivery of an internal audit work plan
• Conduct of audits across key risk areas
• Reporting of findings and recommendations to management and the Audit and Risk Committee

Contractor Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in the local government sector
• Robust audit methodology
• Capability to deliver services in accordance with relevant professional standards and legislative requirements
