The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is seeking a Technical Data Specialist to support the uplift of data and AI capability across the organisation. This role is central to advancing data maturity, enabling the adoption of advanced analytics and artificial intelligence, and embedding best practices in data management, engineering, governance, and insight delivery.
This position supports the delivery of complex technology, data, and analytics initiatives. It combines deep technical analysis capability with technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, delivery coordination, and solution design input. The successful candidate will take ownership of key deliverables, support solution development, and work collaboratively across business and technical teams to ensure outcomes are delivered within agreed timeframes, quality expectations, and business objectives.
