Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Tenders are invited for Slab Jacking Works Newcastle District.

Scope:

This contract is for slab jacking works in the Newcastle District. There are Five sites which require slab jacking. Locations have been detailed in Section 4. The Contractor’s scope of works generally comprises of all activities required to construct the works in accordance with the design sketches, survey, and specifications.

The scopes of work generally comprise of the following but not limited to:

• Void fill, foundation treatment and the injection of expanding resin under the concrete pavements for the purpose of slab jacking for correction of settlement of concrete bridge abutment and roadway slab.

• Asset Vision job documents are attached as Appendix A, B, C, D. 

It is the Contractor’s responsibility to provide TfNSW with a methodology. The method shall involve the injection of one or more of the engineered structural resins well beneath the sunken sections of the affected construction, filling any voids encountered to maximise ground support and then, from deeper in the ground, lifting the construction as conditions allow, by the controlled force generated by expanding resin. The depth of injection is to be determined on site pending drilling and investigation and liaising with the Contractor and Principal as the work proceeds.

• The expanding resin must be injected into the soil beneath the base concrete such that the resulting foam:

  1.      Does not make contact with the base concrete.
  2.      Does not make contact with the subbase concrete (where present).
  3.      Is not deposited between the base concrete and the subbase concrete (where present). for physically locating/potholing utilities on site. Contractor shall always keep Utility Plans on site.

• The Warranty period is 12 months.

• Implementation and operation of Management Systems for elements of quality, environment, safety, community, industrial relations, programming, records, etc

• All personnel engaged on the works must be appropriately trained and in possession appropriate tickets.

• All Contractor personnel engaged under this contract must attend the Worker-on-Foot (WOF) training and must carry the WOF card on site at all times. Information on training requirements may be sourced here https://www.aapa.asn.au/training/course-registry2/safety-training-snaps-workers-on-foot/

• Contractor is to ensure that any disturbances caused because of these works, direct or otherwise, are made good prior to the completion of contracted works.
