The Digital Business Division (DBD) provides retail digital services for export and biosecurity regulation, operations, and compliance at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. This generates a range of efficiencies and delivers best-in-class digital and data products. The division is responsible for a suite of mission-critical systems and services through enterprise data governance and data analysis services.
Enterprise Data provides a central capability responsible for coordinating and assuring how data is governed, managed and used across the organisation. It establishes enterprise-wide standards, frameworks and accountabilities for data quality, stewardship, access, privacy and ethical use, while enabling shared platforms and practices that support consistency and reuse. The unit operates to reduce fragmentation and duplication in data approaches, improve trust in enterprise data assets, and ensure data can be effectively used to support policy development, regulatory activities, service delivery, reporting and emerging analytics and AI use cases.
The Biosecurity data delivery team requires additional senior business analysis capacity to meet delivery milestones, address BAU/sustainment gaps, and support discovery and delivery of new data products. This includes work on domains with hard deadlines such as PDR and ICS, as well as significant delivery across Approved Arrangements, Audit and Assurance, and the Mail pathway. The role will reduce delivery risk by providing clearer problem definition, robust requirements and acceptance criteria, and strengthened traceability and assurance over business logic in data solutions.
