SCRUM Master professionals plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects, and closely monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
The department is seeking an experienced Scrum Master with a proven track record in enabling agile delivery within complex, technology-enabled environments. Scrum Masters are full-time team coaches and servant leaders that create, reform, and sustain agile teams and develop deep knowledge of agile practices, principles and cultures in themselves and the individuals around them. The Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating several team events, such as sprint planning, showcase, team retrospectives and daily scrum, as well as contributing to larger Release Train activities such as system showcases, release train retrospectives, scrum of scrums and PI planning. While not responsible for the work at hand, the Scrum Master is responsible for protecting the team and enabling them to fulfil their sprint and PI objectives, as well as working to resolve the various impediments that affect the team throughout the process. Scrum Masters enable teams to effectively deliver work by setting up and maintaining the measurement processes (effort, complexity, etc) and work visualisation standards for their team, along with inspection and adaption processes based on forecasted and actual work delivery outcomes.
