Sale of Hino Mistral Scarab Street Sweeper

⁠⁠⁠Council has recently taken delivery of a new street sweeper and is currently exploring options for the sale of our existing unit prior to it being offered at public auction.

The machine is a 2013 Hino Scarab Mistral Street Sweeper, with approximately 160,000 km of use. Before sale, Council will undertake a full service, general clean-up, and obtain a current roadworthy certificate to ensure it is presented in the best possible condition. As with any second-hand equipment, it will be sold without warranty.

As part of this process, we are reaching out to local businesses to determine if there is any interest in purchasing the sweeper directly. This would be undertaken via a transparent tender process to ensure fairness to all interested parties.

If a local sale is successful, it would assist Council in avoiding auction fees and may also provide a cost-effective opportunity for a local business to acquire a functional piece of equipment that could add value to your operations. For context, if sold via auction we anticipate a price in the vicinity of $60,000, however Council would consider a slightly lower offer for a direct local sale reflecting the savings in auction costs.
