GRDC operates research, development, extension and information dissemination activities across Australia, including in remote locations. Staff are distributed across seven corporate offices but often work remotely in all areas of the country. As a research organisation, GRDC also works with a wide variety of partners and vendors within Australia and internationally and provides services to grain growers around Australia. The organisation requires flexible yet robust infrastructure and technology to enable consistent and high-quality business enabling technology services.
The Senior Business Analyst is a strategic, service-oriented role responsible for partnering with GRDCs corporate and enabling teams to define, improve and embed critical business processes. Working across functions, the role translates business needs into clear requirements, fit-for-purpose process designs and practical implementation approaches that strengthen governance, efficiency, controls and user experience.
The role provides an enabling service by establishing and maintaining a library of agreed business process artefacts (e.g., current/future state maps, controls, RACI, procedures, measures and training materials) and by supporting consistent analysis and decision-making across initiatives. The Senior Business Analyst helps prioritise process change, ensures requirements are traceable to outcomes, and works with delivery teams to embed new ways of working.
