Annual Stationary Distribution 2027 to 2029

⁠⁠⁠The Bureau of Meteorology is required to provide Annual Stationery resupply packages and associated paraphernalia to its various observation network sites around the country.

Background to Requirement

Each year the Bureau requires the printing, packaging and despatching approximately 4,200 stationery resupply packages and associated paraphernalia to our network of cooperative and volunteer observers.

Objectives and Outcomes

Provide stationery to approximately 4,200 sites as part of the Bureau of Meteorology Annual Stationery Distribution (ASD).

The scope of services is summarised below:

• Each year the Bureau of Meteorology mails out a combination of monthly/annual rainfall data collection forms as well as postage paid envelopes to approximately 4,200 locations throughout Australia, its Islands and Territories.

• Each pre-printed monthly form must be personalized with a unique station number, the station name, and the address of the weather observer.

• The station number is unique. It is important because it serves as the reference for the observed data. For this reason, it is essential that intended addressees receive their correctly numbered forms.

• This task is expected to take approximately one month to complete, commencing the October preceding the years noted in the contract period. For clarity, stationary for ASD 2027 for example is printed in late 2026 and so on.
