Job details
- Interaction Designers direct and guide research, design and testing of the scenarios, interaction patterns and interface systems that make up the interaction component with a service. They makes decisions based on the evidence of user needs in pursuit of the best service. They prototype and test products/services. They create user journey maps and assist with and participate in user research. They collaborate and manage stakeholders.
- Interaction Designers are also known as Interaction Design Experts (EL1).
- An Interaction Design Expert is required to support the ongoing design, development and optimisation of digital content and functionality for the Services Australia website. These services are required to design intuitive, accessible and consistent user interfaces and interactions that support complex user journeys and improve customer experience across digital channels.
- The Interaction Design Expert will support content and feature delivery activities for the Services Australia website by designing and prototyping user interfaces, developing reusable visual and interaction components, and contributing to the evolution of the website’s design system. The role works closely with user researchers, content designers, developers and other stakeholders to ensure design solutions are user centred, accessible and aligned with agency standards and priorities.
