Jobs and Skills Authority (JSA) is leading the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Workforce Data Strategy National Action, a key initiative supporting the three Blueprint national actions under Blueprint Opportunity 1: Better Understanding the VET Workforce.
DataLab work in PLIDA—particularly through VET National Data Asset (VNDA)—will play a critical role in delivering the following two data solutions:
- Develop a Workforce Data Dashboard to provide a comprehensive and accessible view of the current VET workforce to inform policy, planning, and program design.
- Operationalize a landmark Survey of TAE Student Cohorts (2016–2025) to address key data gaps including employment status, teaching specializations by industry/training package, career pathways, and job satisfaction across the VET teaching workforce.
