Requirements
The Prime Minister & Cabinet is seeking an experienced cyber security professional to provide independent cyber assurance.
The role will:
- Review the Department’s security documents including Cyber Security policies and security action plans to assess if they meet the business goals and objectives while supporting the Department’s cyber security strategy.
- Provide an independent and unbiased assessment of the Department’s cyber maturity and current cyber security risk management approach.
- Validate that the Department’s policies and practices comply with Information Security Manual (ISM), Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and ASD’s Essential Eight framework.
- Conduct an independent cyber security review of Department’s networks, cloud-based architecture, ICT Modernisation plans as part of a cyber security posture assessment.
- Review system specific risk assessments to validate the assessment process accurately identifies potential cyber security threats and vulnerabilities and that existing recommendations are consistent with the cyber security strategy to improve security across the department.
- Develop independent internal audit reports and present results to stakeholders and governance forums.
- Provide insight into the audit approach to inform the cyber teams on what evidence and engagement is required in preparing for external audits.
