Enhancing planthopper management in lychee

⁠⁠⁠Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $17 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $170 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.

Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Enhancing planthopper management in lychee (LY25002).

The objectives of the services being sought are to:

• Enhance the management of flatid planthopper within lychee

• Understand current pest management practices of lychee growers and relevant farm management practices

• Describe the economic impact and extent of flatid planthopper as an issue for Australian lychee production

• Identify key trends, knowledge gaps and insights associated with the management of flatid planthopper

• Deliver key information to lychee growers to enhance the management of flatid planthopper

• Respond to key research/extension opportunities to support the lychee industry in responding to flatid planthopper
