1 UI UX Designer alias User Interface Designer

⁠⁠⁠The User Interface Designer (APS5 equivalent) will support ongoing enhancements to the BuyICT platform by delivering well structured, user centred interface design work within an agile, multidisciplinary environment. They will collaborate with user researchers and the Product Manager to understand user needs, behaviours and challenges, contributing to the development of clear, intuitive and consistent user journeys aligned with established platform patterns.

The User Interface Designer will participate in research activities where appropriate and iterate designs based on user and stakeholder feedback. They will work both independently and with other designers to conceptualise and prototype solutions to defined user problems, producing low fidelity and high fidelity designs using the internal Figma design system. This includes applying agreed patterns and contributing incremental improvements where appropriate.

The User Interface Designer will prepare clean, well organised and developer ready design files, taking into account technical considerations identified by developers. They will respond constructively to feedback from designers, researchers and the Product Manager, iterating designs efficiently to support timely delivery.

The User Interface Designer will apply user centred design principles and accessibility standards to ensure interfaces are perceivable, operable, understandable and robust. They will work collaboratively with product managers, researchers, developers and designers to support high quality outcomes and continuous improvement across the BuyICT platform.
