3 Manager Project Managers

⁠⁠⁠The Project Managers x 3 positions will be working in the Data & Digital Delivery Enablement Program, in the Core & Forecasting Applications Portfolio team.

The Data & Digital Group provides information, computing, and communications solutions to enable the Bureau to provide the highest quality of observations, weather, climate, ocean, and hydrological products and services to Australia. The Delivery Enablement Program provides project delivery services, for the project portfolio, and this role will be key to delivering projects and programs undertaken through the Delivery Enablement Program.

The Bureau of Meteorology is seeking experienced Information Technology Project Managers to deliver a range of complex technology initiatives across its Data & Digital Delivery Enablement Program. These roles span multiple IT project domains, including (but not limited to):

• Enterprise and digital platforms
• Data, applications and infrastructure
• Specialist technology initiatives such as satellite‑related systems (No specific satellite experience required)

One of the roles within this intake includes responsibility for satellite‑related technology projects; however, deep domain expertise in satellite or meteorological systems is not required. Project Managers will work alongside technical and business specialists and are expected to bring strong, transferable project management capability.

Project Managers x 3 will be responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of assigned initiatives across planning, design, delivery, transition and review phases, operating within a structured governance environment and coordinating internal teams, external vendors and stakeholders.

These roles are suited to senior IT Project Managers experienced in delivering complex initiatives within large enterprise or regulated environments, including candidates from commercial, consulting or public sector backgrounds.
