Tender Description

This Tender is invited by the Issuer.

Requirements

Stewardship Division within the Australian Submarine Agency (ASA) is responsible for assuring the safety, security, regulatory compliance, and long-term sustainability of Australia’s Nuclear-Powered Submarine (NPS) enterprise. Given the criticality, sensitivity, and trilateral nature of the NPS program, senior security leadership is required to coordinate protective security, cyber security, and information assurance activities across delivery programs, regulators, partners, and government stakeholders.

The Security Analyst (SFIA Level 6) will provide senior security leadership and specialist advice to support delivery of Submarine Rotational Force‑West operational readiness, Australian sovereign operational service and Australian depot operational capability.

The role ensures that protective security, cyber security, and information assurance activities are integrated, risk‑informed, and aligned with Delivery Program objectives, regulatory obligations, and trilateral partner requirements across the NPS enterprise.

The Security Analyst will operate with a high degree of autonomy and influence and report to the Director of Stewardship Program Management Office.

Applicants/Vendors must:

  • Be an Australian, US or UK citizen
  • Have and maintain a minimum Australian NV1 clearance issued through AGSVA
  • Be prepared to undergo additional security screening to determine the suitability to obtain and maintain access to ASA compartments
  • Be based in Canberra, ACT
  • Vendors provide no more than two candidates for consideration. Each candidate must submit 500 words explaining their demonstrated suitability for the position at a SFIA 6 level with a current CV and two referees.
