LAUNCH Night Series 2026-27

⁠⁠⁠LAUNCH Night Series (LNS) is an afterhours sports program providing a safe, inclusive and prosocial activity to young people who may not have other options on a Saturday night.

Starting life as Midnight Basketball in 2015, LNS has evolved over the last eight years to become a highly regarded after hours engagement program for young people in our community.

Guided by participant, partner, and volunteer feedback LNS has undergone continuous improvement trialling new sports, locations, suppliers, and program frameworks. We have found the critical success factors to be transport to and from the venue, a range of sports and activities, a structured roster for games, an evening meal, a crew of caring and attentive adults including several paid professional roles, and low participant to adult ratio. In 2024 we outsourced delivery of LNS to an external partner for the first time with the intention to build on the program's past success by extending its scope to also offer:

a) case management and warm referrals and

b) opportunities for participants to be better connected to support and community outside of the program.

Outsourcing program delivery also benefits the successful organisation via the addition of a highly regarded prosocial engagement program to their suite of services, enabling enrichment of client relationships and sector connectivity.
