⁠⁠⁠Key problem/s

  • Modernise and integrate Finance, Payroll and HR capabilities to support NAIF’s transition to a more autonomous operating model, leveraging Microsoft technologies and minimising bespoke solutions.
  • Strengthen financial governance and compliance through systems that are compliant by design, auditable, and capable of supporting accurate statutory reporting and informed executive decision-making.
  • Enable end‑to‑end HR service delivery across the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to workforce planning.
  • Reduce manual effort and operational risk by automating routine Finance, Payroll and HR processes and controls.
  • Improve data quality, accessibility and transparency across Finance, Payroll and HR to support timely reporting and analysis.
  • Enable a scalable solution to support future enhancement and organisational growth.
  • Support user adoption and long‑term sustainability through comprehensive training, documentation and change management.

  • End‑to‑End Recruitment & Talent Management

Support vacancy creation, candidate attraction and tracking, interview management, employment checks, offers, and seamless conversion from candidate to employee, including a searchable talent pool.

  • Digital Onboarding & Offboarding

Automated onboarding and offboarding workflows covering documentation, policy acknowledgements, system access requests, and compliance checks.

  • Employee Record Management

A centralised employee record supporting the full employment lifecycle, including contracts, remuneration, role changes, contractors, and full audit history.

  • Performance, Development & Learning Management

Support performance and development processes (including probation, mid‑year and annual reviews), training requests, learning records, and compliance tracking.

  • Payroll

A fully integrated, single‑touch payroll capability with no manual data transfers and seamless integration with HR and Finance.

  • Leave Management

Manage leave types and accruals, employee and manager self‑service, and approvals with direct payroll integration.

  • Employee & Manager Self‑Service

Enable employee self‑service (payslips, personal details, leave, documents) and manager dashboards for approvals, performance, and workforce insights.

  • Workforce Structure & Planning

Support position management, organisational structures, FTE control, workforce planning, scenario modelling, and reporting on approved vs actual headcount and costs.

  • HR Case Management

Secure case management with restricted access, audit trails, and linkage to employee records, along with version control.

  • Accounts Payable Automation

Automated invoice capture, three‑way matching, approvals, payment runs, remittances, accruals, duplicate detection, vendor management, and strong financial controls.

  • Finance Management

Manage core finance functions including general ledger, budgeting, assets and leases, term-deposit investment, taxation (GST and FBT), and month‑end and year‑end processes, with strong controls, audit trails, and seamless integration with payroll.

  • Credit Card and Expense Management

Manage corporate credit card use and expense reimbursements through controlled workflows, including delegated approvals, spend limits, transaction acquittal, valid tax invoice capture, policy enforcement, and audit trails, with integration to finance systems to support GST and FBT treatment, reporting, and oversight.

  • Vendor Management

Manage the end‑to‑end vendor lifecycle including onboarding and maintenance, approval workflows, ABN and compliance checks, segregation of duties, document retention, and audit trails, with vendor data integrated and synchronised with the existing CRM and finance systems to support accurate payments, indigenous procurement, relationship management, reporting, and governance.

  • System Integration

Enable seamless, secure integration across Finance, HR, Payroll, the existing CRM, SharePoint, and major banks, leveraging Microsoft‑centric architecture (D365, Azure, Entra ID) to ensure consistent data flow, minimise duplicate data entry, support real‑time reporting, and reduce reliance on bespoke integrations.

  • Implement an integrated solution for Finance, Payroll and HR processes that supports current operations with future growth and enhancement capability.
  • Deliver a modern Finance system that meets all Commonwealth compliance, reporting and audit requirements, while also providing fit‑for‑purpose functionality to support NAIF’s operational needs across general ledger, budgeting, term-deposit investments, assets and leases, taxation (GST and FBT), month‑end and year‑end close and statutory reporting.
  • Deliver end‑to‑end HR functionality covering recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle management, performance and talent management, learning and development, workforce planning and leave administration.
  • Deliver payroll processing capabilities including pay runs, controls, reconciliations and audit support.
  • Automate routine Finance, Payroll and HR processes and workflows to reduce manual effort and strengthen compliance and control assurance.
  • Migrate legacy Finance, Payroll and HR data into the new solution, with data extractable and consumable in Microsoft Fabric for reporting and analytics.
  • Integrate seamlessly with existing Microsoft architecture (D365, Azure, Entra ID, M365), major banks and relevant operational systems, minimising non‑native and bespoke integrations.
  • Embed security by design, including role-based access controls, data classification, audit trails and safeguards for sensitive financial or personnel information.
  • Deliver comprehensive training, change and support to drive adoption, while establishing a scalable architecture that supports future enhancements and organisational growth.
