Tender Description
Blue Mountains City Council seeks to engage a suitably qualified multidisciplinary consultancy firm or a consortium of contractors to provide detail design services and related studies for the Get NSW Active Wentworth Falls Connectivity Project.
The scope for the route extends from the northern edge of the town centre (Station St), crossing the railway line and continuing north along Blaxland Road. At the intersection of Blaxland Road and Lake Street, the route turns west and continues along Lake Street, connecting to the lake via Apanie Lane.
High level scope summary is as follows:
• Detailed design and documentation of shared path infrastructure totalling approx. 600m in length and including:
- Off road shared paths
- On road shared zones
- Elevated, standalone shared path bridge crossing the western railway line
- Connections to existing transport infrastructure network
- Incorporation of place making elements such as landscaping, seating, bike racks
• Predominant 3m shared path width
• Designed in alignment with Get NSW Active design guidance
• Alternative design solutions to address constraints to be negotiated with TfNSW
• Provide all surveys, investigations, reports, and approvals needed to support the design
• Management of the approval process for design of shared path bridge over Sydney Trains assets
